Weekly Tidbits

This week, I’ve paid extra attention to what was going on in the book world and I thought I would share some of the links I’ve collected. I found them very interesting, I hope you do too!

  1. Eleven Brilliant Novels Over 1000 Pages

I found this very interesting. I have yet to read a book that’s 1000 pages. I have 700 and 800 pages down, but not 1000. I do have Les Mis and Infinite Jest on my shelf, but I will need so serious focus time to read and comprehend 1000 pages.

2. Ten Most Coveted Literary Prizes in the World

I’ve seen a lot about the literary awards, and quite frankly I’ve missed a lot of them. So I found a list of the most popular ones and hopefully I can keep track of them for 2018.

3. New Library in China

This library is everything. It’s not a tradition looking library, but the architecture is stunning. And SO MANY BOOKS! (PS- How do people reach the books up top??) I’ve been seeing a lot of bookworm havens in the Asian countries recently.

4. Most Popular Kindle Books of All Time

I’m always interested in knowing what the most popular books are and what people have been reading. I found this one interesting, and I’m glad to know that I’ve at least read some of these.

5. The Christmas Train Movie

I read The Christmas Train (by David Baldacci) last year and absolutely loved it! I don’t normally care for seasonal books, but this one is the exception. Hallmark is making it into a movie and I already have it set to record on my DVR!
