‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ TBR List Part 4

I got this idea from Jessica Robinson at Mrs. Robinson’s Library and I thought it was everything.

My TBR list is standing at 1079. And with the new year coming, I’m going to post this series a few times a week til the end of the year. My goal is to clean up my TBR list for the new year and continue to do so in 2018.

*Disclaimer: As I am on Goodreads on a regular basis, my TBR list will fluctuate a bit throughout this series.

So here is how it goes:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go

  1. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

18045891.jpgI absolutely loved Gone Girl and Dark Places was interesting. I’m going to give it a rest for now and maybe come back to this author later.

Verdict: Toss

2. Into the Woods by Tana French

237209.jpgThe title intrigued me. It’s been every where in my life – from plays, to books, you name it. So I had to add. Also, I think it’s on one of my shelved somewhere. . . And it’s a murder mystery!

Verdict: Keep

3. The Tehran Initiative by Joel C. Rosenburg

11474598.jpgI read the first in this series and really liked it. My dad borrowed them from his coworker and I borrowed it from dad. Unfortunately I was taking too long to read them, so I had to give them back. But it is on my Kindle ready for me to pick up again.

Verdict: Keep

4. Damascus Countdown by Joel C. Rosenburg

15945821.jpgSame as above! And I feel close to my dad who is a few hundred miles away from me now.

Verdict: Keep

5. Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card

375802.jpgI have heard nothing but praise from this book. And when someone asks me if I’ve read it, I hang my head and say I own it but have never read it. Definitely plan to read this next year!

Verdict: Keep

6. Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen

23009402.jpgSarah Dessen makes my teenage heart so happy! But I’m not a teenager anymore. If I can’t get to my beloved Ted Dekker, I’m not going to get to this one anytime soon.

Verdict: Toss

7. Let It Snow by John Green

33290383.jpgI have read all of John Green’s books but this one. Granted, it also has several authors. But I’m not going to head into this journey anytime soon.

Verdict: Toss

8. The Vacationers by Emma Straub

18641982.jpgPretty sure I selected this one because Carly from Carly the Prepster recommended this one on her blog. I’m interested to know how I like it. It might be a selection for my summer vacation reading in 2018.

Verdict: Keep

9. Yes Please by Amy Poehler

20910157.jpgShe’s hilarious, but I’m not a committed fan or even a sometimes fan. Not going to get into it unless I get it from the library.

Verdict: Toss

10. Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult

18816603.jpgI have been having a hard time getting into her books. I’ve been trying with My Sister’s Keeper for a while, but it just wasn’t happening. I’ll keep trying, but not with this book.

Verdict: Toss

Current TBR Count: 1074
