‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ TBR Part 6

I got this idea from Jessica Robinson at Mrs. Robinson’s Library and I thought it was everything.

My TBR list is standing at 1083. And with the new year coming, I’m going to post this series a few times a week til the end of the year. My goal is to clean up my TBR list for the new year and continue to do so in 2018.

*Disclaimer: As I am on Goodreads on a regular basis, my TBR list will fluctuate a bit throughout this series.

So here is how it goes:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go

  1. The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh

23308084.jpgThis is the second book in The Wrath and The Dawn series. I kept the first one on my TBR list in Part 5. I will wait til I read the first one to determine if I will read this one.

Verdict: Toss

2. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

16096824.jpgThis series has been quite popular. At the time I purchased this book, I was reading through the Red Queen series and it got put on the back burner. It will stay on my TBR list. (I am looking at the book now as I type this.)

Verdict: Keep

3. Legend by Marie Lu

9275658.jpgAnother interesting-looking series. I’m not sure I will ever get to them. Maybe if I saw them in the library. Just another YA series I probably won’t get to.

Verdict: Toss

4. Prodigy by Marie Lu

13414446.jpgSecond in the Legend series.

Verdict: Toss

5. Champion by Marie Lu

14290364.jpgThird in the Legend Series

Verdict: Toss

6. Seraphine by Rachel Hartman

19549841.jpgI picked this one because it had a dragon on the cover. Got it from a bookshop in a small town.

Verdict: Keep

7. Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman

16085457.jpgSecond in the Seraphine series. Since I have not read the first one, I will hold off on this one.

Verdict: Toss

8. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

6644117.jpgNot sure why this one is on the list. Ahh! Emily May on Goodreads read it, so I thought I’d be cool and add it as well. Definitely not going to get to it.

Verdict: Toss

9. Catherine the Great by Robert K. Massie

10414941.jpgI got this one at a discount book store. I loved the Royal Diaries version of her story, so I was interested in learning more about this woman. It was featured in my Nonfiction November TBR list, but it was at the bottom of the list and I didn’t have the time to read it.

Verdict: Keep

10. The Little Friend by Donna Tartt

775346.jpgI read The Goldfinch first and enjoyed, but The Secret History has been my absolutely favorite so far! Since I had a pretty good experience with her, I got the Little Friend and I look forward to reading it eventually.

Verdict: Keep

Finished Count: 1077
