‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ TBR Part 7

I got this idea from Jessica Robinson at Mrs. Robinson’s Library and I thought it was everything.

My TBR list is standing at 1077. And with the new year coming, I’m going to post this series a few times a week til the end of the year. My goal is to clean up my TBR list for the new year and continue to do so in 2018.

*Disclaimer: As I am on Goodreads on a regular basis, my TBR list will fluctuate a bit throughout this series.

So here is how it goes:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go
  1. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

6068551.jpgAnother book I added because Emily May read it. I’m not going to be looking for it or trying to buy it anytime soon.

Verdict: Toss

2. What the Dickens by Gregory Maguire

350500.jpgI saw this title either at Target or Walmart and it intrigued me. It is a story of a rogue tooth fairy! Since it still does, I want to keep in on my TBR list.

Verdict: Keep

3. Wonder by R. J. Palacio

11387515.jpgThis book has been made into a movie this year. It was popular maybe two years ago? I added it. But once seeing the trailers for the movie, I couldn’t help but cry every time. I’m not going to see the movie and I don’t think I will make it to the book. But I do believe this book has a great message behind it.

Verdict: Toss

4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

27774758.jpgAnother big popular one that is on everyone’s favorite list.

Verdict: Keep

5. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

48855.jpgA classic that everyone knows about. I just haven’t gotten around to reading it.

Verdict: Keep

6. Four Queens: The Provencal Sisters Who Rules Europe by Nancy Goldstone

691001.jpgNot sure how this got on my list. But I am a history buff, so that might be the reason. I have so many large history books to get through, it’s not even funny.

Verdict: Toss

7. Good Call by Jase Robertson

18318607.jpgAnother Duck Dynasty book. I used to be a faithful watcher of this TV Show, but I haven’t seen it in about two years or more. It’s going to stay, I’m sure I have it on a shelf somewhere.

Verdict: Keep

8. The Women of Duck Commander

18318606.jpgAnother Duck Dynasty book. I do not own this one, and I’m sure I won’t get to it. BUT if you have not checked out Miss Kay’s cookbook, you really should!

Verdict: Toss

9. The Transfer by Veronica Roth

18080920.jpgI am not going to get to this one. I got more from Four’s story through the book Roth wrote for him. It’s only 55 pages, so if I get to it, maybe. But I’m not counting on it.

Verdict: Toss

10. The Angel Experiment by James Patterson

13152.jpgMy husband has branched out from MHC to James Patterson. Unfortunately, I have yet to be impressed by one of his books. Maybe this series will be the ticket.

Verdict: Keep

Final Count: 1072
