Valentine’s Day Reads

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’ve compiled a list of my favorite love (or not so love) books.

They Did it With Love by Kate Morenroth

This. Book. This was probably my first book with a great, unexpected plot twist. (Granted, it doesn’t happen til the epilogue, but still effective.)

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

Oh my heart! This took my feelings to a whole new level, then came crashing down and shattered my heart into a million pieces. After finishing this, I sat in my bathroom and cried for a good solid 30 minutes.

Scars by Eliza Bates

This is a recent read and I loved it! I’m not a big romance reader, but this one was really good. It leans toward young adult and I’m reallying looking forward to the rest of the series.

Poets, Artists, Lovers by Mira Tudor

This one was really interesting. It follows a group of friends in Romania as they navigate their art careers and love interests.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This book is so beautifully written and a beautiful story. And I’m sure I’ve repeated this book on here about 4 times already, but it’s that good!

The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick

This is such a cute read. Arthur Pepper is an elderly man whose wife has recently past. He finds a beautiful charm bracelet in her closest that leads him on an interesting journey to discover the woman she was before they were married.

The Bookman’s Tale by Charles Lovett

Another widower story. The love he has for his late wife is lovely.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

This story is an allegory to the Hoseah’s love story in the Bible. It’s a wonderful picture of what true love really is.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

This book had me bawling my eyes out! It’s funny and heartbreaking all at once. Who doesn’t want an Augustus Waters in their life?
