Career of Evil is the third book in the Cormoran Strike series. This post may contain spoilers.
Robin is now training to be a detective instead of staying a secretary. She is loving the work, but when she receives a severed leg in the mail her life becomes endangered. Strike insists that Robin stay safe and out of work, but she will have none of it.
Whoever is threatening Robin is trying to get to Strike. Strike has a list of names that could be the suspect, each more dangerous than the last. Robin and Strike look into each one to find a connection.
Career of Evil really focuses on the relationship between Robin and Strike. They must work together professionally to determine who the culprit is. And in Robert Galbraith style, I was left guessing until the end.
I really love this series, it’s entertaining and fast passed. Galbraith dwells on both main characters and allows you to get to know them and follow them, unlike other mysteries. The only person I can’t stand is Robin’s fiancé Matthew, but then again he might be the Severus Snape in the series.
Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith receives 5 stars.
